Metro Nashville has two primary tax rate districts:

1ïžâŁ Urban Service District (USD)
covers the more extensive services, such as garbage pick-up, street lights and sidewalks.â
đđ»Downtown, East Nashville, Green Hills, North Nashville, Donelson and Antioch are among the areas included in the Urban Services District. Basically, the more urban parts of the city.

2ïžâŁ General Service District (GSD)
property owners pay individually for those services.
đđ»Areas such as Bellevue, Hermitage, Old Hickory and most of the northern areas of the county are included in the General Services District.

đïž Properties are anppraised every 4 years.  The last reappraisal was in 2021.

đïž Property tax statements are mailed in October and due following February.Â

Residential property tax is based on the Assessed value, which is 25% of the Appraised value. Multiply the Assessed Value times the Tax Rate to get the annual taxes.
